PRIVACY
Privacy policy
Effective 10 September 2026
This policy explains how the Lotu Africa pilot handles information when creators, businesses and authorized staff use the service.
Information we collect
We collect the Google account identity used to sign in, profile and registration details you provide, campaign and application information, collaboration agreements, delivery files and messages, support requests, payment-state records and security or audit events.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, operate creator and business profiles, match and manage collaborations, review deliveries, maintain payment-state records, provide support, prevent abuse and measure the pilot’s reliability.
When information is shared
Relevant profile, application, agreement and delivery information is shared with the other participant in a collaboration and authorized Lotu staff. We also use service providers, including Google for sign-in, Render for application hosting and Cloudflare R2 for private file storage. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Private files and security
Delivery files are stored in private object storage, scanned for malware and served through short-lived authorized download links. Access controls, audit records and encrypted transport reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and your choices
We retain information while your account or collaborations are active and for as long as needed for security, disputes, audit and legal obligations. From Account and data you can download a copy, request a correction or request account closure. Closure may wait until active collaboration obligations are resolved.
Age, updates and questions
The pilot is intended for people aged 18 or older. We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the effective date. Use the Lotu help center for privacy questions or account requests.
